Childhood memories of Halloween past remind us of the thrill of running up the neighbour’s steps, pillowcase in hand, to collect as much delicious candy as we could before the lights went out and we had to return home.
At home, we spilled out our haul on the living room floor. Mom and Dad checked the candy to make sure it was safe and we were allowed to pick one or two treats before we were shuffled off to bed.
As adults, we understand that we check out the candy bag for more than safety. We are actually scoping out the good stuff. The candy treats that we love the best.
Responding to a survey, our Facebook community told us which treats were tops. Mars Bars are, by far, the all-time favourite. Candy kisses are at the bottom of the bag.
