There’s no better adventure than a four-wheeled adventure and no better place to take a ride than right here in the Pontiac.
Enjoy the exhilaration of taking an ATV to the trails and discovering the natural beauty of the region. Explore wild places and visit spots that few other people ever get the opportunity to see.
We have some of the best trails around with a trail inventory of over 450 kilometres. The Pontiac Quad Club is a great way to get to know the trails. They have nearly 600 members who invite new members, visitors, and day-trippers to come and explore.
There is indeed something for everyone on the Pontiac Trails which run from Shawville to Fort Coulonge and Ladysmith. In a single day, riders can ride through muddy swamp areas, past rushing rivers and creeks, around freshwater lakes, and into dense forests. The scenery is so dramatic that riders often feel compelled to pull over to take it all in.
Some trails are best suited for experienced, adrenaline-fueled riders. They lead into the deepest woods where the sunlight barely reaches the forest floor and the terrain is so rugged winches are considered standard equipment. Others are inviting for even the newest riders. No matter how much experience you have detailed maps are available from the club for all types of trails.
Even with the maps, you must still be very careful. In the backwoods, where all the trees look alike, use the maps, but be sure to bring along a GPS for safety.
Looking to join others for a ride and some camaraderie? The Pontiac Quad Club hosts a number of events each year. There are poker runs, community rides, and fundraisers. The events are a great way to meet people.
