Five Worth the Drive

people floating on tubes in water

Just a short drive away you can zip line 800 feet across a roaring canyon, speed through the hairpin turns at Quyon go kart track, float 15 kms down the river in a tube or comb through barns full of treasures and antiques.

Tubing on the Black River

This is not your average waterpark lazy river.  Grab your friends and head out to Waltham.  The trick to making this float trip work is to leave one car at the end location and drive to the starting area with the other.  The slow river trip will take about half a day to complete.

From Waltham, take Highway 148, go North on Chemin de la Riviere Noire for approximately 10km to a major fork in the road (park here for take out).  Continue on Chemin Riviere Noir another 10 km to the Black River Inn bridge.  Put in downstream of the bridge.

Le Circuit Quyon

If you have the need for speed, this place should be on your summer bucket list. Race along this 550-metre outdoor track and experience the thrills and excitement in regulation-sized go-karts.

André Chretien’s Antiques

Just outside of Campbell’s Bay lives the collector of all collectors and he opens his barns to the public every Saturday.  There is everything from vintage tools to antique furniture, and old records.   At last count, there were three full barns to browse
