Get ready for a blast of colour as 80 acres of Sunflowers come to life at The Barn Sunflower Farm in Clarendon on highway 148 at Hannah Road. Thousands of golden flower heads poke out among the lush green leaves and sway in the breeze to face the sun. It is an extraordinary scene.
Take a walk along the delightful trail that winds through the blooms. The flowers make the perfect backdrop for a family photo or a simple selfie. There is a dreamy swing and a bench to help you create the most instagrammable shots.
It will be hard to leave without at least a few of these stunning flowers. Fresh five-dollar bouquets are available to purchase at the farm. You can also pick your own for one dollar per stem. There are alot of events planned over the next two weeks to give everyone an opportunity to see these beauties up close.
Sadly, the flowers won’t last forever. At the end of the season, they will be harvested and their seeds will become birdfeed available at the Bait Bin located in the Giant Tiger parking lot. Enjoy the flowers and be sure to leave a donation at the entrance.
Keep your fresh cut sunflower lasting longer.
- Make sure no leaves are under water
- Place your blooms in fresh water and keep them in the shade
- Change your bouquet water every second day, especially if the water starts to get a little cloudy
