Our local artisan scene is bursting with talent. Here are just a few people creating and selling unique, hand-made foods, crafts and design goods right here in the Pontiac. # PONTIACMADE

TOAD & TAYLOR HANDMADE

Shawville mom of three, Taylor Pawlett is the creative mind behind Toad and Taylor. She has turned her passion for all things accessory-related into a small business creating handmade items from fabrics she curates herself. Some of the fabrics are whimsical and fun, like the Halloween scrunchies, jack o’lantern earrings, and the muppets decorative magnets. Many have a vintage feel, like the florals she uses to make earrings. Key fobs and wristlets made of eclectic patterns, and decorative magnets are among the items she offers in her Etsy shop and at local craft fairs.
You can find Toad and Taylor Handmade online at http://toadandtaylor.etsy.com/ , on Facebook and Instagram, as well as at local craft markets.

KIDS, COWS AND FLOWERS

Eline Van Der Veen is one busy lady! This local mom and farmer, has a real passion and talent for flower arranging. She grows an extensive variety of flowers in a garden that is definitely bigger than the average person’s; the cut flowers are used to make arrangements that she sells at farmers markets and craft fairs throughout the region. This time of year, Eline is busy creating her stunning wreaths and Christmas-themed planters, which come in a variety of sizes and price points. The decorations outside Shawville Town Hall this year are Eline’s handiwork. To bring some of the same charm to your own front porch or steps, be sure to order a wreath and a planter or two from Eline.
Kids, Cows and Flowers Co. can be found on FaceBook and at local craft markets.
